25th anniversary figures

I began collecting these for my sons, what little boys DONT love GI Joe. I have most that were released including vehicles, 2 packs, 3 packs and five packs. I'm still not DEEP in the GI JOE mythos..but I love the nostalgic aspect of them as they rereleased a few figures with the new bodies, and updated the looks of most. Made them a real collector item. I'm just wondering if I should start cracking these babies open or if I'm holding on to something that won't be of value down the line, what do you guys think?
